My friend Will Gee put me on to this today — New York’s advertisement mural painters tell their story. Brilliant mini documentary.
There seems to be a trend these days for turning modern day film posters into fantastically retro pieces of design. Came across these very cool movie posters based on Atari 2600 computer game boxes by Penney Design.
Reminds me of these pitch-perfect “I can read movies” book cover series by Spacesick. Masterful “less is more” image making. Brilliant.
I love autumn, shame I’ve not managed to get out and take many photos this year, but here’s a mosaic of a few of my flickr favourites…
Credits: 1. *the distant sound of autumn*, 2. Untitled, 3. Ostracized, 4. Considering the Gravity of Situationism, 5. Explored February 5, 2008 #181, 6. holga in autumn, 7. 0 = 1, 8. polaroid & autumn, 9. small pie | october 24. 2009
I first came across Brent Barsons work when I saw his Typophile Film Festival Credits — now here’s another mind blowing film portraying the creative process and the faliure we usually encounter and overcome — all exported one frame at a time… Expressive typography at it’s best.
Handcrafted with love by BYU design students and faculty, for the 5th Typophile Film Festival. A visual typographic feast about the five senses, and how they contribute to and enhance our creativity. Everything in the film is real—no CG effects!
Illustrator Johanna Basford has spent the last 48 hours drawing a circular pen and ink collage of everything that Twitter users send to her. She’s had hundreds of tweets and only about 3 hours sleep. My bear is in there somewhere…

UPDATE* …and here’s the finished picture, printed in a limited edition of 100 screenprints. If only I could afford one…

Thanks to BB for adding one of my Lomo Holga 35mm shots to her ‘So Vintage’ flickr gallery…
Brilliant animation by student graduate Sjors Vervoort.
Great poster designs from Alan Clarke for the London 2012 Olympics, unfortunately they’re completely unnoficial…
Check out my friend Annas etsy shop at annabeboo.etsy.com — her new quirky hand made gifts are flying off her shelves! This necklace is my favourite, even though I am a boy…
